Where, What and INDIA!

Alabanza - Praise

When I talk to people, some of the first questions I get is: "Where are you?; what are you doing?; Are you still going to India?" So, here goes...

Where am I?

God blessed me with a place to stay in Pretoria. I live on a plot called Alabanza, just outside Pretoria West on the R104. Alabanza means praise in Spanish, and I can truly praise God for the wonderful family I have here. It is a place I can grow in the body of Christ, praying together and learning from each other. Alabanza is also a venue for camps and it serves as a halfway station for missionaries on their way out!

What am I doing?
At Alabanza I help with hospitality! Receiving teams, cooking, changing bedding ect. I also have the opportunity to practice all the many skills I learned during my global challenge year doing some plastering, sanding and painting! One of my highlights everyday is playing and having fun with the 3 little boys that also live here with their parents. Eathen(5) & Divan(2) are brothers and then there is little Veli(2) also!

Apart from Alabanza, I'm also helping out a little bit at the Thando community crèche in West Ford. This is a crèche that was started about a year ago in a poor community in Pretoria West. They have no electricity or running water. The crèche is now registered under a NGO of His Kingdom Ministries. I am helping Marli v Vuuren who is assisting the crèche to get registered at Social development and helping the ladies that are looking after the kids to get trained as educators. In the meantime we helped them in developing the classroom, playground and their very own vegetable garden.

Am I still going to India?

YES!! I am still planning to go to India at the beginning of May. I will go with the main purpose of discipling and loving! I'm hoping to do some more modules of the Veritas coarse and then using that as a tool to learn from the word, disciple the Global challenge teams that visit India and to disciple children in the orphanage where we live and work at. I'm really looking forward to go, and am excited about what God will do and is already doing there! We are also hoping to go to Russia in August to meet one of the Global challenge teams there.

What to pray for?

Please pray that God will prepare me for whatever He plans to do in and through me. Pray for the people that we will meet on our paths, that God will reveal Himself to them. Please also pray for all the logistics of our trip, the tickets, our contacts and itinerary and that it will all be in His will.
